Athlon 64 boards: VIA
Athlon 64 motherboards with VIA K8T400M chipset:
So what's special about the VIA K8T400M?
Reality check: As said before, the Athlon 64 might not be a good choice for most untill Windows x86-64bit is available or AMD manages to raise core frequency.
The last 2 VIA AMD chipsets (KT400/KT400A) can't compete with nvidia's nforce2. Will this solution be better than nvidia's nforce3?

So what's special about the VIA K8T400M?
- Supports Athlon 64, 800mhz FSB
- VT8235 south bridge delivers USB2.0, 100Mbit LAN, 6Ch sound,...
- 8X V-Link between north & southbridge
