![]() | ![]() If you want to save money you can buy value memory which usually does not come with heatspreaders but they are generally not needed as you would not buy value memory if you are planning on overclocking. The other option is to buy a higher end memory which is capable of running at higher voltages and of sustained overclocking. Kool Solutions has started to offer their Chill Vent Memory Cooling Fan (CVMF) in order to cope with heating memory conditions. They may seem unnecessary at first but with new motherboard capable of a VDIMM of 3.5V and systems heating up like never before conventional, passive memory cooling is not always doing the job.
