are these 2 nforce 4 chips the same? : http://snogard.de/content.php?artike...eId=145&file=1 & http://www.e-bug.de/cgi-ssl/preise.c...=16835&piname='MSI+7125+K8N+Neo4+Platinum-54G+Sockel939'&hbestnr= I'm not going to use SLI, so the platinum neo 4 is good huh? but if I read the info of the platinum on e-bug.de there stands: 2x PCI-E 1x & 1x PCI-E 16x, so the platinum also has SLI? |
no. |
G33MD00D: PCI-E 1x has but one channel and is a small slot. this will not work for graphics PCI-E 16x has 16 channels and is the correct slot for graphics cards. most SLI chipsets split this channel into two times 8 channel (which is more than enough) but with 16x slots. also, if you can afford a 6800GT, go for it. a 6800GT is probably the most futureproof card, you can buy atm in it's pricerange. a 6600GT can be compared to a 9800pro but with some extra capabilities. kristos: http://www.pcisig.com/specifications PCI-X was designed for heavy duty interface cards (like heavy SCSI raid arrays) long before they were even talking about PCI-E. |
the biggest problem with those Geforce 6800 GT's are that they are only AGP atm.. is nforce 4 also the only motherboard that is compatible with the PCI-E? so you're saying Geforce 6800 GT is the futurecard, but.. isn't the radeon x800xt better? should I just buy a Geforce 6800 GT AGP and a neo 3 than or what? dilemma all the way :( |
no no, just go for a PCI-E setup. AGP & standard PCI is outdated & will disappear within a year. yes, a X800XT is better than a 6800GT, but it also costs a lot more & isn\'t SLI capable. |
this x800 XT only costs 435€, it\'s a XT and PCI-E : http://www.e-bug.de/cgi-ssl/preise....r=16154&piname= isn\'t that price weird? they cost 500€+ in belgium. :s though.. sapphire is reliable aren\'t they... |
anyone? |
the link doesn\'t work for starters belgium isn\'t a good reference in general if your looking for the best bang for the buck and that card probably costs very little because it has no extra\'s whatsoever. no software bundle, no special adapters or cables, no remote... just card, manual, driver cd and perhaps a molex splitter or something and that\'s it. thx for the link suaside :super: |
I\'m sorry, the working link: http://www.e-bug.de/cgi-ssl/preise.c...r='1174248 I heard the following from someone, is this true? : DUTCH: Quote:
