Hello all, I'm new here. I just recently discovered MadShrimps and it's an excellent website. Kudo's to the Webmasters

Just wanted to drop a line to say that the flash worked perfectley on my XFX 5900 NU. I used a Gainward 5950 ROM also. Had zero problems with it. I can't measure my temps, the card has no thermal reading on it, but it did give me quite a clock increase. I have it running 490/990, it picked up the performance somewhat, but I thought the performance increase would be more than it is so far. I will play with it some more and see how much more I can get out of it. Good luck to all, and thanks to all for the great info found here.

Default 5900 NU to Gigabyte 5950U-GT BIOS

Hi,

I just flashed my X-micro 5900NU to gigabyte's 5950U-GT bios,
now it defaults to 520/950MHz in 3D frequency and 300/950MHz in 2D. Just download BIOS from Gigabyte's site and download nvidia driver patch on gigabyte's site too, works with 53.04 drivers. Use the gainward method to flash. (-u -p)
I still can only bench @ 450/950, as the cooler on my 5900NU is not that good, might try water cooling later.

Cheers

Hey, could you send me your Original BIOS of that X-micro 5900NU? I don't have that BIOS yet in my list of Geforce FX BIOS's Files (mavke@madshrimps.be) thx.

Site will soon be available to download all diffrent BIOS Files :-)

Does your TV-out work when you have flashed your cards? I have a Leadtek A350 and after flashing the card my TV-out doesn't work:grum:

Thought i post in here about my results. I bought a BFG FX5900 and successfully flashed it with the Leadtek A380U bios.

In 3dmark 2003, i went from 5460 to 6004 just by flashing the card. Also the temps dropped after flashing, it used to be 44C now its at 35C.
