One guy got very lucky

The record attempt was estimated to end with a score of around 60000 Vantage points. Though it showed again that it wasn't going to be an easy task to do as the rig was very unstable. Finally the Tones guys were so kind to hand over 4 GTX 480's from the store itself. This, just to get a score done. Max CPU power we got with the ES CPU was 5.4Ghz. Not bad but far from brilliant, as setups like these still scale nice with extra added CPU power.

The students had to calculate the total amount of Vantage points achieved during their and Massman's run. Rikske, our brand-new Overclocker got within 6000 points of the end score and grabbed the bonus price of the day.

This was a very fun event ; hopefully something that can be repeated in the near future. Too bad the record attempt went so-so , but I'm pretty sure Massman will try to redo it somewhere in the upcoming week.
