it is indeed a pain in the ***, I'm working on the same one at my PIV 2.4 at work (9 h a day). It will be diffucult to have 200 point before next week.

Is there a way to get smaller WU's? If I get a big one again after this one it will be finished after the deadline

You can crash folding@home and then you begin a new WU

(make your pc instable )

p.s: the 23x pointers are folding faster , +- 23 hours so 2 of them and you got +-470 points

not advised, if you plan on doing that you might as well stop folding as it will only hurt the cause...

I Knew it just because I lower my vcore and fsb when i am dowloading and when I reboot it crashes because my vcore doesnt change after reboot.

btw in what way it will hurt the cause?

ps i am not doing that if you thaught so , only crashed 3 times(not on purpuse because I don't put my time in such things) in since i started folding (8months)

This gives stanford extra work with crippled WU's and extra work with sending/receiving.

Maybe such efforts result in server-crashes at stanford.

Maybe such efforts result in downtime so other folders will be affected.

I would strongly advice against it !
