| Well yes. Last week Friday, all parts were delivered. I was about to assemble it directly, but parents told me that on saturday and sunday, we were going to a suprise trip for my birthday. We went to Paris (Louvre, shopping, Versailles ). When I came home on Sunday evening, I assembled everything, and it took me a few hours. Had some troubles with the CPU cooler (stupid me, first build in the motherboard in the case and then the CPU + Arctic cooler isn't a good idea) and some parts of the case, like the fans. Then I installed Windows XP (corporate edition, not really *legally* :grum and when I saw it was good, I went to sleep at 1hrs in the morning. The next day, I downloaded the latest Forceware drivers and some other programs. All corrupt? What happened? A re-install of Windows didn't fix anything. So far, I got tired of it and just installed FEAR and played it. Oh, and I ran 3Dmark05 on bad-installed OS: 7675 marks! Quite good. Yesterday, I found out what the problem was. The Nvidia Firewall! NEVER install the Nvidia network software and use the Marvell ethernet port, and it will go smoothly I also re-installed my OS with a "legal" windows (from my work) and downloaded the latest hotfixes and so on. Also installed the most recent drivers and ran 3Dmark05 again: 7677 marks (2 more than the day before ). Everything works fine now. Except one thing: the motherboard has AI NOS. When I enabled NOS and set it on 110%, my pc crashed during 3Dmark. Won't boot anymore, so I went in safe modus and disabled AI NOS. Windows worked fine then . Worthless feature, or I am doing something wrong. My settings in games and they go smoothly: F.E.A.R: 1280*960, max detail, 4x AA and 4x AF Half-Life 2 Lost Coast: 1280*1024, max detail, 8x AA and 8x AF. Any tips to tweak out my system for 100% performance? (it's a rig only used for gaming - no chatclient, no mail, no internet,...) |

| all nice here but what about your monitor, speakers/headphones and mouse? In the end these parts convey the experience in the end. |
