But who's gonna buy a 125euro celeron when their motherboard costs twice as much?
found something you may find interesting

@ Vcore1.442V (not sure what cooling, may be under LN2... I don't speak japanese )

My DFI mobo and Dothan 725 arrived Tuesday. Formatted yesterday and running now at 2 GHz. I'm gonna push it a little further this afternoon.

lucky bastard

mine was supposed to be here thursday, but there was a mix up. they delivered it at my fathers address. Now I have to wait untill after the weekend before I can go and pick it up. I'll probably have to work too late on monday to go and pick it up.

On the other hand, the post office the package is at is right next to the aitec electronics shop so i can buy the resistors for the mods in one go when I go pick it up

Yeah, but I'm a total noob. What solder bolt should I use, which wires, which solder...
And I know nothing about elektricity exept some basic formulas for Ohm and Watt...

15W soldering iron with very fine tip, preferably heat adjustable but not a must.
60/40 rosin core solder the smaller the diameter the better.
rosin flux (not acid flux)
40wire ide cables are good. 80wire ide cables are bad.
you don't need to know about electronics, there are guids for to tell you what to do

btw. set your agp/pci speed higher to achieve higher fsb overclock and try the latest biosses. fugger said about a recent bios release that it gained him 2sec in pi just like that.

With AOpen I haven't seen anything like that yet.

I reached higher then that, but it wasn't stable. It was kinda weird. Like everything freezes, but after a few seconds it went back normal. But the "freezes" kept on repeating themself.
