| I misread the post. I scanned it too quickly. What abour SoftFSB PLL whatcha think about that software? Although everyone is telling me they trust the FSB did in fact change, I truly have my doubts it did. I can't beleive both Sandra, and WCPUID would misread the FSB, especially if I booted into the screen, without calling up either software, prior to changing the values in ClockGen. I beleive it's CPU-Z which is misreading. Otherwise I feel I'd be able to acheive this in the BIOS, and I've tried everything in the BIOS, even raising the Vcore at one point to almost 1.8V! My friend swears by ClockGen, but this is why. In his case it's neccessary, as he cannot set his AGP/PCI in the Asus P4C800 Deluxe BIOS, so he has trouble overclocking while using a Radeon 9800 Pro, which won't allow the WindowsXP splash screen to load because of the card's AGP. The AGP/PCI needs to be raised to 68/34, which doesn't happen in the Asus BIOS. But I'm using an Asus 9950, and the FX5900 doesn't have that problem. |

| Clockgen works set FSB at 255 , run 3Dmark set FSB at 260, run 3Dmark your score will be higher, the overclock is valid WCPUID doesn't recognise it.. but its there in my waterchill review I used softFSB to up the CPU speed without rebooting.. the temp rose noticeable between the 2 settings, meaning the CPU HEAT output increased, meaning that the overclock was in effect, otherwise, as WCPUID stated, it shouldn't have changed at all

| 3d mark recognizes the cpu difference, but not the fsb difference

| the scores in benchmarks are the same, if you overclock in bios or with clockgen.. richbastard checked this out.

| Well then in that case (get it hehe) I'm the happiest fellow around because I can run at 4.0GHz. I just have to wait for ambeint temps to drop. But 3911MHz is "just like butta." |
