all the files are free, none are set to 'read-only', just the WORK folder is set to read only, all the contents are free, I cannot unset the workfolder, if I unset it from read only, next time I check it, it's automatically read only again... how come?
I doubt this is the cause of my problem... I think I need to change one of the files...

Ok I tested it out

I copied fah3console.exe to a new folder,
configured everything & set machine ID = 2

got a new WU, waited till 1 frame was done.
- Shut down FAH
- zipped the complete directory
- uploaded to webspace

went to work, where I cannot make a connection to the FAH servers
- downloaded zipfile
- extracted & ran fah3console
- fah completed but couldn't send packet
- zipped the complete folder
- uploaded it to webspace

just got home
- downloaded zipfile
- extract & ran fah3console -send all
- WU submitted and another 7.3 points for JMke

so in conclusion, does offline work work? YES
