HOWTO install the client without your regular windows user noticing ? What do you need : - Firedeamon lite - freeware (r/click = dl) Firedeamon is a service-manager vor Windows - Folding client – graphical (r/click = dl) What now ? 1) Install the folding client and firedeamon and add a service. This service being : winfah ... fill this in as executable with path 2) You do not have to fill in the parameter -local ... 3) Install the service 4) Reboot 5) When you start back up the PC will immediatly start folding as it is installed as a service … no matter who logs on and off. No-one will notice exept people running taskmanager or people looking into the installed services 6) remember to remove the folding exe out of your startup programs - group

Within a few months I'll probably start with an upgrade from 98 to XP pro, for 3000 clients. Shall I give it a shot? Still haven't been able to add the main-server @ work, so still continuing with the same capacity. Just one question, I launched two pc's with identical hardware at the same time. Now after almost two days the first one (running windows 2000 small business server) has completed 3 WU's, and the other one (regular windows 2000 professional) hasn't even ended the first one. How come?

different "type" of WU's = my guess ... can be seen when looking at the WU's name, when it just states a name like "p184" then you've got a slow one -- when it ends with *.xyz or something alike you've got a fast one ... my guess is that the difference between those two types is in the different projects ... @ default chosen randomly by the program itself just a guess tho ...
