that was a quote taken from the sounddepartment of the article;

this sums it up quite nicely and accurately

" it's pretty obvious that for making a game the Source Engine is the obvious pick. If I wanted to make a graphics demo or even a CG movie I would probably pick the Doom 3 Engine. "

yeah but i question the logic of someone who writes an article like this while he clearly doesnt own the game and hasnt played it much even if he favours the game in question . Its like writing a matchreview after you went to the pub with a m8 who just got back from the stadion :s

still remains second hand info on which he bases his article , he basicly writes what he thinks everyone is expecting . Somehow i dont respect that .

second hand info? afaik both technologies have been openly described by the makers, their capabilities, weakness and strong points

isnt the point of writing a comparison to study en deduct for yourself instead of copying the oppinions of someone else .
Thats my only point , i dont even care if the guy is right or wrong . You dont write reviews of hardware only by compiling info on it from the net . Same thing imo .
