Seems not a convincing price for the average joe. this chip should be cheaper because it's slower. But it's priced the same as the E6300....

yep, and it's not like the Core 2s are unpopular under overclocker

price max should be €130 for this chip to be interesting, €2 difference with E6300 makes no sense

It's NewEgg, they do this with all recently launched hardware they expect to be somewhat hot. Listing the QX6700 for $1,600 out of the gates when they had plenty of stock was a good indicator of this.

Why? Because of them OC'ers , the less than 1% of PC users (amounts to thousands) giving the merchants a chance to make a few more $.

I really don't think this pricing schedule is "because of the OCers", Intel will drop price of E4300 to ~$130 in Q2-Q3, this is Intel pricing, not the shops
