Default outlook express backup/restore

I have backupped my dad's mails/contacts/etc of outlook express. reinstalled his OS, and I import his data. he gets all his contacts back, and a few mails, but almost all mails are missing

the backup file is nearly 200MB big that I got by using some tool. with that tool I imported his data again. contacts are back, and in his "archived" folder of outlook express he gets all his files back: inbox.dxb, outbox.dxb, and dxb's for all groups and contacts. his inbox.dxb file is 170MB big, and the dxb's of groups are a few MB. how does it come he doesn't get his inbox back, with all the e-mail folders and their contents?

(it's for his shop, so it's urgent :/ )

Isn't there an import tool in outlook express itself ?

Tools - Import - point to the mail folder

Outlook != Outlook Express

Outlook Express should never be used to store ANY important data.
