Default awdflash.exe

so i downloaded awdflash off the asus site a couple days ago. and now its on my desktop....and i still cant delete it, whenever i try, windows tells me its in use and i cant delete, theres nothin on the file attributes. i even tried booting from a disk with an ntfs reader to try and delete it from my desktop, and it wont let me do it either....

any ideas how i can get it off my desktop?

" ntfs reader " does just that, read

start -> run -> cmd

cd "c:\documents and settings\%username%\desktop"
del awdflash.exe

and if that don't work, run "chkdsk"

create a .bat-file with instructions to delete that specific file and put it in your "startup"-folder in the start-bar

example:

create a new txt-file and change it's name to "delflash.bat", then edit that file and type this:
Quote:
del c:\"path to your desktop-folder"\awdflash.exe
save the file and put it in the the folder named "startup", located in your "start"-bar

reboot

press ctr-alt-del

Quit the "explorer.exe" process

then file --> new --> "cmd"

Delete the file

and finally again file --> new (task) --> explorer.exe
