| so i downloaded awdflash off the asus site a couple days ago. and now its on my desktop....and i still cant delete it, whenever i try, windows tells me its in use and i cant delete, theres nothin on the file attributes. i even tried booting from a disk with an ntfs reader to try and delete it from my desktop, and it wont let me do it either.... any ideas how i can get it off my desktop? |

![]() | " ntfs reader " does just that, read ![]() start -> run -> cmd cd "c:\documents and settings\%username%\desktop" del awdflash.exe and if that don't work, run "chkdsk"

| safe mode was the first thing i tried, i dont get it....what could be stopping me from deleting a dos app off my desktop!?!?!?! and jmke....my bad, i missed the chkdsk part....ADD kicking in |

![]() | create a .bat-file with instructions to delete that specific file and put it in your "startup"-folder in the start-bar example: create a new txt-file and change it's name to "delflash.bat", then edit that file and type this: Quote:

![]() | press ctr-alt-del Quit the "explorer.exe" process then file --> new --> "cmd" Delete the file and finally again file --> new (task) --> explorer.exe
