Foxconn P35AP-S: BIOSContinuing the impression of the Foxconn P35AP-S, we will have a look at the bios next.
Pretty much the same bios DFI uses. Let's skip - once again - the basic stuff and move on to the PC Health page.
Very complete, no remarks at all.
Foxconn's answer to the Genie Bios provided by DFI is the Gladiator bios. We hope that the enthusiast experience and knowledge of Shamino will have a positive effect on the further development of the bios features.
Let's start with the memory timings page.
Not bad ... but if Foxconn wants to be big on the enthusiast market, they must provide even more settings.
While I was checking out the Gladiator bios, something caught my eye:
999FSB (theoretical)?!
Next up: the memory dividers.
Rather difficult notation of the dividers, that could be simplified, but luckily the bios calculates the memory speed on the fly.
How are the voltage options?
Pretty much what we need as the vcore can be increased to 2v using a different cpu voltage multiplier (not in the picture).
Foxconn really works on their street cred with that board
