Default Xiaomi Mi A3 is a 6.1-incher with Snapdragon 665

720p OLED screen, 48MP camera, and €250 price tag

As promised, Xiaomi has now officially launched its Mi A3 entry-level smartphone which cuts some corners compared to previous generations but comes with a decent camera and affordable €250 price tag.

Running on stock Android, the Xiaomi Mi A3 is built around a 6.1-inch OLED screen with 1560x720 resolution, which is quite a big hit considering that Mi A2 came with a 1080p screen. The heart of the Mi A3 is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 665 SoC, featuring an octa-core CPU with two 2.0GHz Kryo 260 Gold and six 1.8GHz Kryo 260 Silver cores, and Adreno 610 GPU. The SoC is paired up with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, luckily expandable via microSD card slot.

The biggest upgrade is the camera system, which includes triple main camera with 48-megapixel sensors with f/1.8 wide lens, 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 ultra wide lens, and 2-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 lens for depth. The front camera is a 32-megapixel one with F/2.0 lens in a teardrop center placed notch.

In addition to usual connectivity options, with 802.11ac dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C port, you also get an under-display fingerprint sensor, 3.5-inch audio jack, and a hefty 4,030mAh battery, which should provide good battery life and supports 18W charger, although the 10W one is in the box.

The Xiaomi Mi A3 comes in Blue, White, and Gray color options and should be coming to most European countries soon, with a price starting at €250 for the 64GB and €280 for the 128GB version.
