| Tongue-controlled gadget lets you use your phone without lifting a finger Humanity hits new low with a "mouse for your mouth" Touchscreens are going hands-free with a new device that lets you scroll through smartphones using only your tongue. MouthPad is a retainer-like trackpad chip that sits on the roof of your mouth. It made a splash at the Consumer Electronics Show this week, although that might have just been saliva. It can sense tongue movements, letting you scroll, type, make calls and even play chess with a swipe or a click of your tongue. Augmental software engineer Corbin Halliwill who made the device, said it was was a "mouse for your mouth" although we have never needed to put a mouse in our mouth so we will take his word for it. Augmental made MouthPad to be a handy tool for those living with disabilities, especially those with a hand problem or paralysis. It connects to any tablet, phone or computer through Bluetooth. https://fudzilla.com/news/mobile/582...fting-a-finger |
