| Thermalright thermal solution for A64/A64FX/P4 Announcing the SLK-948U the NEW top contender with superior performance; bridging two worlds. As personal computing steps into the 64-bit era, versatility and performance are stressed even further in modem CPU designs. Higher operating frequency, surging dissipating energy from the CPU, larger cache and multitasking, expose the need for a higher standard in thermal management. Thermalright Inc. has stepped up to the challenge and introduces a new breed of universal HSF, the SLK-948U. As many of its brethren, it shares the SLK title, SLK-948U also utilizes a pure forged copper base with spread-wing design stepping fins. The smart wire fan clip mechanism is also shared with previous SLK models. However, the SLK-948U’s mission is to tame both A64/A64FX CPU’s as well as the new P4. Upgrades have been made and several design changes were implemented based on our user’s feedback. In a sense, the SLK-948U is a collaborate effort between Thermalright and many of our users worldwide, that has led to the tweaked design of this high performance HSF. Some of the changes include, the newly designed Neo-Back plate; new hexagonal standoffs that no longer break when improperly installed, new setup so no need for motherboard removal even with bolt thru method; hollowed center distributes mounting pressure more evenly on the backside of the CPU socket; extra fins to reduce bypass and further increase thermal dissipating rate…all these improvements were designed into the SLK-948U due to the feedback received from our customers. With the A64/A64FX CPU’s becoming more and more popular as their prices start to become affordable and Socket 478 CPU’s getting hotter than ever. Arm your system with Thermalright’s NEW SLK-948U; it’s a choice you won’t regret, in this fast-changing world of Personal Computing.
