| Swiftech Launches a SATA Powered 8-way PWM Splitter Swiftech announces the release of an 8-Way PWM splitter with SATA connector, the function of this device is to connect up to 8 PWM devices (fans and/or pumps) to a single PWM fan connector on the motherboard, thus enabling speed-control of all connected PWM devices simultaneously. Scythe recommends users to make use of the "CPU_Fan" connector of the motherboard, because most motherboard manufacturers usually allow a greater range of adjustments on this particular connector. Scythe states that the SATA connector employed by the device, eliminates many of the problems encountered with the typical Molex connectors found on such devices, however it leaves us guessing what those problems are and which of them are addressed by their SATA solution. http://www.techpowerup.com/188153/sw...-splitter.html |
