| Quick Charge 5.0 tops 50 percent battery in five minutes Qualcomm ups the charging game Qualcomm has been stuck with Quick Charge 4 and 4+ for the last few years and let a lot of players, predominantly from China, to surpass its charging speeds by a lot. Now Quick Charge 5 is about to change that as the new standard promises to charge 50 percent battery in five minutes at 100W maximal capability. The new standard will start with Xiaomi which already announced a 100W charging capable device and it will probably be embraced by many in the Qualcomm ecosystem. Quick Charge 5.0 supports 100 Watts and keeps the battery 10 degrees Celsius cooler and 70 percent more efficient compared to Quick Charge 4. The new standard surpasses significantly the Power Delivery standard that stops at a quite good 60W. Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 5 supports 3.3 and 20 Volts, with 3.3 or 5 Amps of current but some bulkier charger might allow more than five Amps current. https://fudzilla.com/news/mobile/512...y-in-5-minutes |
