Default Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti shows up in retail

More details revealed

Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 Ti has been spotted in Russian retail/e-tail, which also revealed a few more details regarding the actual specifications, as well as a general idea of pricing.

As rumored earlier, Nvidia could be preparing no less than three new mid-range Geforce GTX series graphics cards, the GTX 1660 Ti, GTX 1660 and the GTX 1650, all based on Turing GPU architecture. The first in line, which should launch on February 15th, is the GTX 1660 Ti, rumored to be based on 12nm TU116 GPU and packing 1536 CUDA cores, 96 TMUs, 48 ROPs, and 192 Tensor cores. Of course, it lacks the RT core part, which is the reason why it is a part of the GTX, rather than the RTX series.

The GTX 1660 Ti packs 6GB of 12Gbps GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit memory interface, leaving it with a 288GB/s memory bandwidth. The GPU base clock should be at 1500MHz with GPU Boost hitting 1770MHz. It should draw power from a single 8-pin PCIe power connector.

Russian shops revealed quite a few versions coming from Palit and MSI, so there will be plenty to choose from, all featuring custom cooling with either a single or dual-fan solution, depending on the version.

While the price of the GTX 1660 Ti is rumored to be $279, these early listings put them at around $400. Videocardz.com grabbed quite a few screenshots and some blurry images of these cards from the source.

The rumored GTX 1660 and the GTX 1650 should come at a later date, most likely in March.
