| New Rivatuner allows you to control Shader Clocks on NVIDIA Cards New version is now finally usable with R600 GPUs, since Unwinder fixed I2C write routine that was blasted by many users out there. 2.05 now has databases for ForceWare 163.69 and 163.71 versions of drivers, so if you like to be on a bleeding edge of driver revisions, you can freely use Rivatuner tuning app. But what most followers of this application expected is now a reality - new UI brings independent slider for adjusting shader domain clock. Now you can finally overclock the shader units inside GeForce 8 GPUs regardless of GPU or memory clock. http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquir...tuner-download

Not any surprise, works very well. Offers linked/semi-unlinked slider controls, except for a brief hiccup ran great with 630/1521/1950Mhz clocks for a GTS 320mb, got roughly ~10 higher FPS average with Pyros running around flaming everything, best I can tell using "cl_showfps 1" for TF2.

You mean I can mod a GTS 320 to run as fast as a card that runs twice as much?

I would suggest 512mb or higher as "minimum" RAM for a GPU these days, but otherwise yes. "Only" 320mb of RAM is severely limiting my frames with TF2 at this high a resolution/detail settings, so higher GPU/shader clocks don't really help except with the min FPS. Previous testing with ATI Tool got as high as 648/1512/1975MHz 30 minutes stable without extra voltage or mods & stock cooling, not tried to go higher as of yet with Rivatuner.

Depends on what GPU you'll take, no way you need 512MB with a GeForce 8400

Very true... But you wouldn't see a 8400 powering any games at 1920x1200 either.

Might coin a new phrase... FPM. Frame Per Minute with HQ settings.
