| Microsoft ditches Android apps Windows 11 users left in the lurch Microsoft has surprised punters by scrapping its support for Android apps on Windows 11, giving you only a year to play games on your Windows tablet before support officially runs out. However, you're stuffed if you haven't installed Android app support. Vole isn't saying why it's binning support for the Windows Subsystem for Android, other than the following missive: "Microsoft is ending support for the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA). As a result, the Amazon Appstore on Windows and all applications and games that need WSA will no longer be supported from 5 March, 2025. Until then, technical support will still be available to customers." All this means that those thinking about using Android Apps on their Surface Pros were officially doomed from yesterday. https://fudzilla.com/news/58583-micr...s-android-apps |
