HMD Global unveils new Nokia 8.3 5G smartphone

One of the first smartphones with Snapdragon 765G SoC

HMD Global has unveiled a total of four new Nokia smartphones as a part of its push to refresh the Nokia lineup from top to bottom, including Nokia 8.3 5G, mid-range Nokia 5.3, and the entry-level Nokia 1.3, as well as the new member of the Originals family, the Nokia 5310.

As noted, HMD Global unveiled four new smartphones that will be coming with Android as well as the new Nokia 5310, a reimaged version of the original Nokia 5310 Xpress Music, but all eyes were on their Nokia 8.3 5G.
Nokia 8.3 5G is far from the flagship killer but should do well on the market

While it might not have the best chipset on the market or the best screen, the Nokia 8.3 5G is definitely an interesting smartphone, featuring a 6.81-inch IPS Puredisplay FHD+ (2400x1080 resolution) panel with HDR and Adaptive display support.

The heart of the Nokia 8.3 5G is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 765G, a 7nm octa-core SoC with one 2.4GHz Kryo 475 Prime core, one 2.2GHz Kryo 475 Gold, and six 1.8GHz Kryo 475 Silver cores. It also features Adreno 620 GPU, and is backed by 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 64GB or 128GB of storage (expandable via microSDXC card), depending on the version.
