 |  Fuschia to overthrow Android I'm just sitting watching flowers in the rain The Android operating system is set to be phased out over the next couple of years. That's according to a report from Bloomberg, which said today that Google has ambitious plans for a next generation of operating system that will supersede Android. Talking to members of the Fuschia team, Bloomberg said that Fuschia is being positioned as an OS that will run any Google device, from smartphones to loudspeakers. That could happens within three years, an unnamed source said. But the plan may not be welcome news for others involved in the Google chain – whether they're companies making hardware devices or software engineers and companies that have plunged money into what they considered was an OS that would achieve some kind of immortality.
