| Apple censors staff from talking about working from home We decide that Fruity cargo cult Apple is so desperate that staff work in the office to receive the words of wisdom of their managers they are censoring workers from talking about it. According to The Verge, Apple is closing down internal Slack channels to stop employees from discussing remote working options. Apparently, Cupertino employees are currently engaged in a Cold War with their employer over the coronavirus pandemic's remote working arrangement. Apple responds like the caring sharing employer it is and listens to their views and harmonises them with company policy. Nah, not really. Apple has responded by shuttering the Slack channels where discussions are taking place under an idiotic pretext. "Apple recently began cracking down on Slack channels that aren't directly related to work. The company bans channels 'for activities and hobbies that aren't directly related to projects or part of official employee groups -- but this wasn't always enforced, employees say." Two public letters from Apple employees have requested more flexible working conditions. In addition, a recent petition this month was shared on Apple's internal Slack channel, with more than 6,000 members discussing remote work. https://fudzilla.com/news/53308-appl...king-from-home |
