| AMD's new Ryzen 9 3900XT and Ryzen 7 3800XT spotted in 3DMark With significant clock increase Both the revised Zen 2 Ryzen 9 3900XT and the Ryzen 7 3800XT have been spotted in the 3DMark database, confirming earlier rumors that we could see a significant boost in clocks for these new CPUs. Spotted by @TUM_APISAK on Twitter, the results show a higher physics score compared to previous Ryzen 3000 series CPUs, which suggest that we could see a significant increase in both Base and Boost clocks. AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT pic.twitter.com/DLFVMu6yWr — APISAK (@TUM_APISAK) May 27, 2020 Earlier, rumored specifications for a 12-core Ryzen 9 3900XT, an 8-core Ryzen 7 3800XT, and a 6-core Ryzen 5 3600XT have been spotted online. The Ryzen 9 3900XT is rumored to work at 4.1GHz base and 4.7GHz Boost clocks, which is 200MHz and 100MHz higher than the standard Ryzen 9 3900XT. The same goes for the 8-core Ryzen 7 3800XT, which is rumored to work at 4.2GHz base and 4.7GHz Boost clock, getting a 200MHz increase, and the 6-core Ryzen 3600XT, working at 4.0GHz base and 4.7GHz Boost clock, a 200MHz and 300MHz increase in base and Boost clocks. This puts AMD in a good position to counter Intel's Comet Lake series CPUs, and if AMD decides to launch them at the same price as the earlier models they are going to replace, it also means a price cut for the existing CPU lineup, the company will put a lot of pressure on Intel's lineup, especially in the mainstream market segment. The new AMD Ryzen 3000 series XT SKUs are expected to launch in mid-June so hopefully we'll see more information soon. https://fudzilla.com/news/pc-hardwar...tted-in-3dmark |
