Default AMD plans Redwood GPU to replace HD 4770

AMD is using silly names such as Hemlock for its dual RV870, Cypress XT for the HD 5870 (a.k.a. RV870), while Cypress Pro is HD 5850 and so on. The chip that is scheduled to launch in Q1 2010 is codenamed Redwood and it also comes in XT and Pro variants. Redwood XT is a 40nm DirectX 11 part that should replace Radeon HD 4770 and Radeon HD 4670 cards in the upper part of mainstream market.
