| gotcha, thx soo much for your help but I think I'm just gonna stick with the 3400+ s754, mainly because I don't feel like dealing w/ amd and having to wait for a new cpu and moboard to arrive. If I was planning on doing some serious benchmarking w/ this pc, I would definatley go w/ the s939 I will keep you updated, and probably create a worklog when the parts arrive for the pc |

| I did not recommend S939 for performance, I recommend it for future ease of upgrade-ability S754 = budget line of AMD S939 = performance/enthusiast line of AMD future higher end parts and motherboards will be S939 based; buying S754 now will drop you in the budget line immediately. buying low speed S939 CPU will allow you to upgrade to a high end CPU in one year for the fraction of the cost, and at the same time you are spending less money now

| ok, I've thought about it for awhile and I think I am still going to stick w/ the 754. I really hate the idea of my pc having a "budget" end part on it though uke: The main reason I am sticking w/ 754 is the same above. Another reason is because I don't plan on "upgrading" anytime soon. When it is time for a new cpu or moboard etc... It will be time for an entire new pc. I have had the same sony vaio for 4 years now and it still can run things like 3dsmax fairly well. Sorry to dissapoing you jmke , but I really appreciate you taking time to explain this stuff to me. I came to shrimps because of the memory contest, but I found a really great forum. So friendly I will post in a few minutes w/ the water cooling setup |

| Here is the Water Cooling kit I plan to buy in the next few months. Any big problems you see? I am still amazed at the price range of pumps, and just picked the most expensive one here...but I have read good reviews on they hydor pumps. WATER COOLING SETUP: Innovatek HPPS 12V Water Pump (500733) - $115 Danger Den Black Ice Pro 120mm Radiator (Blue) w/ Customizable Fittings - $52.00 FrozenCPU.com Blue UV Reactive Tundra Dual 3.5" Bay Reservoir - $29.00 Danger Den RBX - Athlon64/FX/Opteron 1/2" ID Water Block - $52.95 Danger Den Z-Chip 1/2" ID Chipset Water Block - $39.00 Danger Den NV-68 (Nvidia 6800 series) 1/2" ID Water Block - $124.95 Danger Den 1/2" Fillport - BLUE - $13.99 FrozenCPU Blue UV Reactive Water Dye - 1 oz. Bottle - $9.99 Tygon Anti-Kink 1/2" ID (5/8" OD) Tubing (5 ft) - $15.75 -------- I've pretty much got my mind set on the water blocks, can't go wrong w/ danger den. But I am still not sure about the Pump, and not sure if I should have a reservior. I would love to have the reservoir taking up my 2 floppy bays in the praetorian case. Having it all UV lit brings tears to my eyes. But I've heard they can leak over time. With that much water, I don't want that to happen. I don't plan on adding a hd cooler either, kinda pointless since I will be using a cooler master cool drive to do that . *Summary* Is there a better pump for my needs than the Innovatek. And do reservoirs leak over time? |
