No backup whatsoever. I like living on the edge (or I have no important data )

I use a NAS, it has a raid 5 setup with HSP

Dedicated volumes at boot so all data is stored on there.
No nois/heat problems in local pc....

ok i know this is expensive

not as expensive as you think though

PCI SATA RAID 5 card ~$150
3x 120GB SATA drives ~$300
CPU/MOBO/CASE/GIGABITNW/PSU ~$500

I make a CD-rw with all my important data (mails, files, bookmarks...) once a week.

This is enough for me.

All important data is kept in one folder, wich is copied to another disk, almost every day.

And I've got a DVD rw containing all that info, rewritten one a week or something like that.

hm, damned, seems like one of the disks (bootdisk it think since it won't boot) of my back-up pc is fubar. But hey, wich idiot places a back-up right behind his subwoofer (wich he likes to use a lot )
