IBM is out, hitashi is in.
They do seem to do pretty well.
but the reputation is something else.

They'll always be IBM to me ;)


Reputation is on a low indeed, but competitive pricing & good performance will bring that back sometime...

(and then they'll the most expensive again prolly :))

What about Maxtor reliablity?

I've always been happy with Maxtor, but I heard that recentky they have alot of problems?

Anyone more info about this?

does anyone have experience with DimondMax10 200Gb drives?


What are the current warranty-times (in years) given on all harddisks?

I have 2x120gb Maxtor which are showing errors 1.5 year after purchage, warranty is only 1 year.. :(
