Just a small question, does the clamp goes trough the insulation of the cable, until it touches the copper, and thean measures usage, or is it a sensing thingie ?

Sensing thingies, they can measure the amount of current flowing through the cable by measuring the amount of induction caused by this flow.

time is no longer of relevance when you have a baby which wakes up every 3 hours
so yes, I was boiling water to cook vegetables and potatoes
