Default Dell memory question

I want to put some more memory in my Dell pc, but I heard Dell pc's can only handle the memory Dell uses? It's a p4 2.8Ghz with 533Mhz FSB so the pc is quite recent.
Don't feel like buying memory at Dell so ...

and will Infineon memory work then?
I'll install Sisoft Sandra for detailed info

EDIT: motherboard is from Dell, so I guess the choice of memory will be limited? Sisoft Sandra only says Micron (that are the chips I guess?)

Dell is pretty cool about memory upgrades.
A good stick of mem should do the trick.

Just be glad you don't own a compaq.

not very happy with Dell either, but hey, my father bought a new one, since this Dell (his old computr) is still better than my old pc, I'll live with it

edit: [dutch] heb juist een e-mail teruggekregen van Dell (een week na ik de e-mail verstuurd had). Ik vroeg ze dezelfde vraag als in deze thread, antwoord was te verwachten lol:
