The weather has gone nuts in recent days ...... present moment 13C outdoor temp. A far cry from 10 days ago of 30C at night.

damned, it's hot in here, 30°c room temp :grum: . If only we had a bigger, dryer basement :grin: .

these were temps with P4 @ 2.4ghz



now room temp 22.5°C

temps with A64 3000+ @ stock speed&voltage using Scythe Samurai with fan @ full speed:

50°C = southbridge temp

the Scythe's fan tries to pull hot air away from the CPU, but with the case panel closed that air has nowhere to go; if I take the side panel off temps never go over 50°C

but this weekend = LANparty time, so I need a closed case
