| a64 troubles msi k8n nforce3 socket754 a64 3200+ 2 * 512Mb infineon ddr pc3200 geforce2 ultra 400watt noname psu tried a diffirent graka, tried a pci graka tried diffirent screens switched some ram around removed everything except for graka/ram/cpu reseted cmos several times no boot, no post, no nothing everything fires up, but no screen any suggestions? |

| The ondie A64 memory controller is pretty picky about which ram you use. Try another stick of ram before returning the processor, because incompatible ram would case the same kind of problems.

| Depends actually, the CG steppings have far better memory compatibillity then the C0's. All newcastles and late clawhammers have CG steppings |

| True, true, but the fact it's still more picky than the average Nforce2 board or i865/875 controller remains.

| my friend apparently broke a pin of the cpu, en thus no warranty he then simply bought a new one still no post though, but the mobo is geving me a long beep. no error codes in the manual however. i'll check the msi forums later on. |
