Default Point Of View Geforce FX5900XT + Call of Duty

Model Name: GeForce FX 5900 XT
Video Memory: 128 MB
Core Clock: 390 Mhz
Memory Clock: 680 Mhz
Memory Access Speed: 2,8 ns
AGP AGP 3.0 (8x / 4x / 2x / 1x) Fast Writes
RAMDAC Dual: 400 Mhz
D-Sub: Yes
DVI-I: Yes
TV-Out: Yes

http://www.guru3d.com/article/Videocards/112/
Conclusie:What a nice card to own people! We see a decent enough potential in overclocking on this card that brings it close towards GeForce FX 5900 Ultra in some cases. In fact it closes in on the default clocked 5950 Ultra so that makes up for a lot, I guess. The product is equipped with memory that can handle a tad more than it's default specification, that's additional value. So it's like this, if you do not want or simply can't spend a huge amount of money on a high-end graphics cards and can settle for a little less, then we definitely recommend the product, it's very stable and for the money it offers heaps of functionality, features and really nice performance. You can basically play any game to date without any issue at all.
What to say about the Aeolus 5900 XT .. three words. Value, value, value. What the GeForce 4 Ti4200 was compared to the GeForce 4 Ti 4600 is this product, pure value versus really good performance.
Two thumbs up and highly recommended.

Reviews van de Point of View versie:
http://www.hartware.net/review_381_7.html (duits)
Hartware redaktionstipp

http://www.3dchips-fr.com/articles/a...hp?p=1&IDa=135 (frans)

http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews/XTs/index.htm (engels)
Conclusie: "For the benchmark junkies out there I don't think you can get a better bang for the buck card in 3dMark03 and this really is the TI4200 of its generation"

Info van de fabrikant:
http://www.pointofview-online.com/10.../fx/fx5900.php

it's a sad day when someone starts buying hardware to fit his software. instead of just switching sofware (hey look, DUALBOOT)

I'd rather find it more sad to buy software to fit your hardware, than the other way around. : )

If i can get my work faster done on linux, a 10% performance loss (in games) doesn't matter that much too me.

Anyway, I still have an extra disk lying around with WinXP for benchmarking... maybe i should keep the radeon, make my system dualboot and hope for better drivers in the future.
