My 8rda+ went up in flames today... it killed my GFX card as well (Ti4200). I haven't had a chance to test my friggin' expensive RAM (2* Corsair XMS3200) and CPU (XP2400+), i really, really hope they didn't die as well. :(

That's the risk when you're overclocking I guess. I hope I have better luck on my exams.

If I had a case I would borrow a folder I have here right away :-/
currently looking for cheap/small ATX cases so that can house 2 folders which aren't used for anything but folding

1.95v is too much for the chipset...

I've got a temporarly unused ATX case. If you're still planning on dropping by this weekend, a backup rig would be very helpful. :)

I've seen other ppl running at 1.97v, even someone at 2.41v (!). 1.95v killed my board instantly though. :/

I will try to drop by sunday around noon with my Duron900 system

I have mine running aircooled/unmodded at 1.9 volts for about 4 days now 24 hours per day priming... no probs yet

I figured if Epox thinks it's healthy to run a chipset at 1.6 cooled with a louzy passive heatsink and sun gum between, 1.9v & watercooling would not kill it instantly.

RMA'ing the Ti4200 should be possible, except the lapped gpu it's in original state.

if i could drop buy tomorrow for that HP cartridge i could bring along that duron system from JMke ... :)

(could take it along without the cartridge as well tho :) )

ATA33 HD & PCI Vidcard & 10mbit networkcard btw

No probs, as long as it can compile Java it's ok. :)

it's a great folder, so it shouldn't be any problem for a small JAVA thingy

it even has a nice speedadjuster for the 80mm CPU fan
so you can (& shall :grin:) keep it running 24/24

hey, if you put a nice , silent 120mm fan near to it, it can even go withou the CPU fan :)

as long as you don't put 2v through your chipset, I think you'll be okay ;)

you can use my PIV setup for a few weeks if you really need a slighty faster rig for a few weeks. I'll call you when I'm awake tomorrow

Another bit of bad luck today though: i've put my Xelo Ti4200 in the freezer yesterday to remove the waterblock (it was glued on with AS adhesive). When i tried to remove it this morning the whole core came of! :o

John, be sure to take you're camera with you. It's a very funny sight. Do you still think i can RMA this card? :D
