Default Mandrake 10.0

Linux "n00bs" who want to give a prebuild linux distro a try, i'd highly recommend Mandrake 10.0.

It's the first (prebuild) distro by my knowledge that uses the new 2.6.x kernel, which is faster and supports more HW nativly (sata by example).

I think i'll give it a try myself.

If Mplayer has the same subtitle quality as Media Player Classic, I will be using it for my HTPC.

Mplayer supports dozens of options to adjust subtitle font/size/position/transparancy, and it offers support for more types than mediaplayer. In which way is it inferiour?

Will you be using a Radeon graphic's card with that setup? A lot of people (including myself) have problems getting their radeon to work in mandrake 10.0 when combined with a n-force2 chipset.
