IE doesn't support css table:hover saddly. I'm looking for a workaround.

I should implement an 'edit' post :)

RichBa5tard 24th November 2005 13:09

Any critics on the new layout? It works well in IE too.

Message in IE

RichBa5tard 24th November 2005 13:55

erh, works fine in IE here. What's your Locale setting? Not Belgian?

Bosw8er 24th November 2005 14:03

:(

Seems to be a IE bug. Older IE versions can't handle language checks untill you install the language pack (which you don't need).

Quote:

It appears that IE 5.5 and 6.0 cannott handle the language
check if the user says NOT to install it. The work around for the user
is to then have to click the address bar and hit enter to hit the page.

Bosw8er 24th November 2005 14:17

yep, hitting the adress bar twice does the trick ... on all 3 test pc's
But i have to do that EACH time i visit the page

RichBa5tard 24th November 2005 14:18

Annoying. : / Maybe i can disable the language check as hwbot.org is only in english at this moment.

jmke 24th November 2005 14:20

why is there a language check in the first place? ;)

Bosw8er 24th November 2005 14:21

Forgot to mention that the IE-version(s) should be the most recent (and not the "older versions" as mentioned in your quote) as auto-windows-update is activated.

RichBa5tard 24th November 2005 14:32

Language check is automatic in the framework i'm using. Haven't found a way to disable it yet.

IE 6.0.2900 doesn't give this error warning, not on any computer i can access here at work (both 2000 and XP).

Are you able to visit other internationalized sites without a warning?

Bosw8er 24th November 2005 14:38

IE 6.0.28 on all pc

Filled in "fish" in google and visited first 8 sites ... no problems

jmke 24th November 2005 14:41

IE 6.0.2800 here and no problems loading HWBot

RichBa5tard 24th November 2005 14:43

Arf. I don't like IE. :)

jmke 24th November 2005 14:56

me neither; [M] looks as it should in FF, in IE there is a break line in the top part of the site.. there is NO break defined in HTML code :/

RichBa5tard 24th November 2005 15:09

What's your IE versus FF ratio according to googleanalytics? At hwbot.org it's about 40 / 60.

RichBa5tard 11th December 2005 17:13

I've added a huge amount of processors to the hwbot database. You can now check out the average processor performance based upon superpi results on the fly. : )
