| ![]() Title says it all. I'm building a new PC, all components brand new out of box. My Mobo is the Asus P5N32-E SLI board. I'm shopping for CPUs right now, and I have one of two in mind: 1) e6600 Conroe 2.66gHz Core2 Duo 4mB L2 cache 2) e8400 Wolfdale 3.0gHz Core2 Duo 6mB L2 cache I can get either one for around the same price, so that's not an issue. I want the Wolfdale, but I'm concerned about compatibility. I've heard that the 45nm archtecture is having huge issues with some mobos. So I guess the main question is.. A) Are this mobo and the Wolfdale e8400 compatible? B) Will the stock BIOS for the P5N32-E SLI work, or will I need to flash the BIOS somehow? I tried Asus' website, but they're a little muddy about the different variations on the p5n32 set. |
