connected the fans, solderd some ccfl's, and putted aluminum fronts on the cd-drives
phillips writer needed some heavy modding, but eventually it fits

what do you use to cut the aluminum vent panels?

i found some nice ones i'd like to use in a mod im working on, but i have to remove a big center portion to make it fit, and tinsnips f-ed my spare panel and the jig looks as if it will destroy them

dremeled?

i tried out my grilles and i got nice solid whoosh, probably wouldnt be as bad if i took out the mesh on the inside, but since this will be travelling around a good bit

but, after checking it out, with a setup on either side with the grille and a wire fan guard, the air output was normal, and no audible fan stressing sounds could be detected (indicating poor airflow)

change of plans
polishing is not going to work
or at least, not as i want it to
so, front is painted in chrome, tuesday it'll get a turtle wax treatment
the side panels will get the same treatment
i'm quite curious on how this will turn out.
fingers crossed

spray paint part is finished
it needs a turtle wax treatment, but it's looking pretty good, better than i thought
pic of the front gives u an idea of the actual color, allthough it looks better irl (other pics give a totally wrong impression)
