Yup, the cpu power seems to be very important.

I've got 5132 3Dmarks with an XP@2100mhz and r9700 @ 330/310 i think.

edit: calantak: your score is good for an 11th place at the orb.

I didn't have 5000 with a radeon @ 371/330 and 3.0 ghz p4...
even the 4 ghz p4's hardly go over 6000...
in games the difference wbetween 3 and 4 ghz (unreal tourney for example) will be big, at least 25%

Oh I see.

I've tried twice to have a nice score, but 3DMark03 hung both times in nature at +- the same moment. Annoying, since you can't run nature first too see whether it's stable.

Running 3Dmark takes too long now in my humble opinion.

...

topscore : oppainter
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) XP/MP/4 2807 MHz
GPU: ATI RADEON 9700/9500 Series
492.0 MHz / 355.0 MHz
(bijna 500 mhz op de radeon core...)
6500

(er staat nu al een fake op...)

en opinie???

scoring system sucks...

THIS one isn't!!

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3213 MHz
GPU: ATI RADEON 9700/9500 Series
450.0 MHz / 405.0 MHz
giving : 6377 poi,ts

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3875 MHz
GPU: ATI RADEON 9700/9500 Series
451.0 MHz / 351.0 MHz
giving 6196 points...

650 mhz cpu = 50 mhz gpu mem????

how the **** is this gonna add up?

Nogal scheve vergelijking in my humble opinion.
