What about AGP voltage in bios for fx5900xt. What is right choice 1.5v 1.6 or? |
when you don't have an AGP lock or you increased the speed of the AGP then upping the voltage can give you better stability, this only relates to system overclocking, not to overclocking of the videocard itself, as a higher AGP voltage will not affect the voltage given to your GPU core or vidcard memory. To increase that voltage you'll have to resort to voltmodding and voiding your warranty. |
tnx for ans...can you give me your hint about my upper question? |
"Your card probably can't handle the FX5950 clocks." :) |
UUUHHH it's so hard to hear this ;)))) How you think about MSI FX5900XT VTD128 VIVO? (maybe I can replace with that card) |
you'll have try, every card is different :) |
euhm jmke , can you flash a gf4ti4200 into a 4400 ? Maybe I have to change the bios a bit but with what tool ? |
uhm.. maybe, but there is no advantage afaik, since the only difference is the clockspeed. better just play safe and use powerstrip to overclock GPU/MEM. |
yeah but doesn't the flash increase the voltage of the vga , because I didn't placed heatsinks on the ram and my stock cooler is still on it :o. standardclocks : 250/550 oc : 260/275 shitty eh :p *found PIII cooler and heatsink , maybe try that one* |
I wouldn't bother trying to overclock that Ti4200. best you can get is a 5-10 fps increase depending on the game (10 fps in Q3A, 1fps in Far Cry) |
