Default E6400 & 7800gtx

Just installed my new gfx card in my computer this morning and ive done some benching on it allready... The vga is still at stock volts tho..

Benchsystem:

Conroe E6400 @ 425*8 3402Mhz @ 1.44V
Asus P5B Vanilla w/ Bios 0806
2x1GB GeIL DDR2 @ 425Mhz @ 4-4-4-12 @ 2.05V
MSI 7800GTX 256MB @ 515/1350Mhz @ stock volt
Zalman 400W PSU

2bad the 2k5 score is still a 4 diggit score .. going for 10k+ tho..

PS Im going for 3.5Ghz+ benchable on the cpu... And the vga will also be voltmodded in a while...

Ps2: What could I do to get higher scores.. Sum tweaks.. Since Im used to amd64 + super pi:P

Ps3: Upcomming new DFI engeneering sample mobo with nvidia 680I or RD600 chipset.. Ill post som pics as soon as i get it..

Ps4: Yes this is the last one:P Hi im new here.. Maybe sum guys know me from XS or vr-zone .. anyways hi guys ^^

vmod will increase your overclock hard if you have a good card.

friend and i allmost clocked the card to the WR on air.
675mhz core with custom hs and 1775mhz mem ^^

scored 11.4K but no compare..

just try to keep it cool and give enough voltage

and search for some 3dmark05 tweaks on the net

*update*

Ive been working on the keeping it cool part..

Ive done a little cooler mod @ gfx card.. I got a allu hsf with 90mm 3000rpm zalman fan..

Temps Idle:
Before: 45 Degrees
Now: 35 Degrees

Temps Stressed:
Before: 80 Degrees
Now: 50 Degrees

(temps read from driver.. Idle is @ desktop and stressed was during a few loops of 3dm 2005)

You might wanna voltmod your mainbord. I can recommand Vdimm mod. For voltmods look at my personal site: http://www.wittekakker.be/projects/p5b/index.html (Dutch language)
You may find 2 other mods like Vcore and Vfsb on XtremeSystems but they are not needed in your case, only if you're taking the board to the extreme.

Ive done some 3D Mark benching this afternoon on the following setup:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 @ 430*8 = 3440Mhz
Asus P5B Vanilla Unmodded @ 0806 Bios
GeIL 2x1GB @ 430Mhz @ 4-4-4-12 @ 2.03V
MSI 7800GTX 256MB @ 550/1400Mhz @ stock volts
L.O.D Tweaks

3D Mark 2005 Score: 9762
3D Mark 2003 Score: 22712
3D Mark 2001 Score: 44900

I didnt make any SS since this is just some testing... I got a holliday comming up;(22nd of december) and I will do some serious benching then..

PS: Im quite happy with the 7800GTX doing 550+mhz unmodded(well only mod is cooling mod)

if my friends 7800GTX is still working like a sharm there is some ln² comming together with a Intel X6800 also with ln² lol

ready for some competition?

Hugo told me I could borrow his single stage if I needed it.. I think its becomming time to do so...
