Better scores to come soon :p Hope the cpu does well under the Phase (hoping for 4.8Ghz) and get near the 15 min mark... wished Blind's Cascade was functional again

Gamer 22nd November 2009 08:59

Put some Lnē on it :)

leeghoofd 22nd November 2009 10:39

no pot, no dewar, i'm just a poor boy

Gamer 22nd November 2009 11:27

PJ ? :)
Let's rob him.

leeghoofd 22nd November 2009 11:40

he's still busy with it, tomorrow he goes to Rome... if he wants to lend it I'll refill the dewar

blind_ripper 22nd November 2009 13:36

new 20L dewar cost's 325€ +- ;), im getting one maybe at the end of this month :).

jmke 22nd November 2009 14:05

I forgot I already ran Wprime 32M on the overclocked AMD :D

Ask if we can get a reduction for two ? I hate to suck up to Massman each time to get the pot and dewar :p (I know he likes it too much)

leeghoofd 22nd November 2009 20:58

Thx to Hs we are now in a solid 3rd spot in Stage 3, ofcourse the big boys will still need to contribute. Too bad we lost the flowerbed PC, thx John for OC'ing it !

Thomas will do his thing on tuesday (he promised me), I'm trying phase tomorrow ( bit too pissed at the moment lol )

Under air max Bclock is 228, getting the rams at +1800mhz, let's hope G's Phase can handle 4.5 and a bit higher NB frequency...

jmke 23rd November 2009 06:50

if you thought this round had not a lot of participants, wait until next week ;)
AMD CPU and ATI GFX...

Massman 23rd November 2009 07:23

41 submissions is better than this time last week?

jmke 23rd November 2009 08:29

39 users so far
previous round had 59 in total

the people who have AND AMD AND ATI GFX < people who have AMD CPU

;)

first round 101 users.

My point exactly.

^^ exactly :)
it should go in an upwards trend in my humble opinion.

while picking AMD CPU is "nice"; it's also a very unpopular choice with majority using Intel CPUs;)

leeghoofd 23rd November 2009 11:41

wooho broke 15 mins at 4.7Ghz But this the limit for G's phase... after one hour (had a few lockups) I did 2 succesfull runs. When I removed the Phase it was not even frozen, just cold :p

We need a good run to concilidate the 5th spot... go go Thomas !!

Time for some S478 loving for me...

This may seem correct, but is not. It's only a matter of where we'd put certain stages, to begin with or to end with. If I'd placed Core2 at the end, the trend would be upwards.

The most popular category is "open". Let's do this for each round then! :woot:.

The goal of this competition was to have different countrymen fight in different stages. The more variance in hardware, the more variance in users.

That's not bad!!

No way to increase the NB frequency over 3G? I'd assume it would be no problem. Maybe the memory frequency has to be lowered a bit to increase NB frequency. 800/3200-ish.

Gamer 23rd November 2009 18:00

Care to use my SS for some time Leeghoofd ?
It can take care of i7 @ 1.6v, so AMD should be no problem either ?

leeghoofd 23rd November 2009 18:28

liefde van een echte man gaat door de maag

jmke 23rd November 2009 18:45

@MM: you do know what I mean; and be sure that "OPEN" won't be the most popular ;)
it would have been more interesting to limit the AMD stage to a cheapo platform;
same for the next stage, limit it to a certain generation ATI VGA, at least that way it's not going to be one man with AMD CPU and 5970 who will take the spot ;)

leeghoofd 23rd November 2009 18:47

I vote for 5870 :p

I know what you are getting at John, all to attract a bigger crowd... but it will always be like this, the one with the best hardware wins, unless you limit the overclocking on cpu and vidcard...

jmke 23rd November 2009 18:55

soon; next year :)http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?t=4221

jmke 23rd November 2009 18:59

it seems it was posted in crew section; sorry

Gamer 23rd November 2009 19:56

You could fix this ? :p

leeghoofd 23rd November 2009 20:37

question is does he want to fix it :p

Small update 31 secs shaved off, due to Massman's tip to increase the NB and ditch the max ram speeds...

jmke 23rd November 2009 20:47

fact is: not up to me who gets access to crew section;)

leeghoofd 24th November 2009 08:03

To get back on topic we need one or more solid runs ( sub 15 mins) to stay ahead of the french to consolidate 5th spot...

jmke 24th November 2009 08:16

those 2 entries of the french smell... fishy. Same CPU, same cooling, same CPU Mhz, same result, same time submitted.

leeghoofd 24th November 2009 09:00

if you see the first piccie you can see the other ones mobo there, they just benched probably with the same SS, scores are crap anyway :p I hope Thomas can do a +5.8Ghz run and then we should be steady in 5th spot

I need to invest quickly into a pot and Dewar

jmke 24th November 2009 09:01

they benched with the same SS, ok... but I think they also benched with same mobo, because the other one posted a score before with 945 not 965

leeghoofd 24th November 2009 09:38

Could well be, hard to prove ofcourse (unless you ask for a detailed piccie of 2 965 CPU's ofcourse like in the scam photo's) :p...

Bit silly but it seems to be the current trend anyway...

blind_ripper 26th November 2009 08:25

its gone be sixed place for this stage ;).

leeghoofd 26th November 2009 10:17
