Euh, I didn't know it was a socket issue, (got a link there? :)) I thought it was due to the bios but that they had it all sorted out with the last 2 bios revisions... Tested the d26 mantaray XT from tictac btw, performs quite a bit worse on my board then Merlin's D25 Ub3r bios :( |
I first saw the issue raised by an Ebuyer comment, managed to find a link for it tho -> http://forums.pcper.com/showthread.php?t=301587 |
wrong link :) check the sticky at that forum the lifted socket seems to be another problem that has nothing to do with the cold boot problem (I might be wrong, I didn't read through the whole thread yet) |

but then last night, i got around to putting my memory in dual channel.....now im stuck at 200fsb again....i just dont get it....my ram sucks.... |
there\'s a non splashscreen version aswell I just liked the splash screen so that\'s why I linked it :D check the xtremesystems amd section for a thread by tictac there you\'ll find the non splashscreen version. flashed the cpc off version aswell, gets me about the same results as merlin\'s D25 Ub3r but the performance stinks for some reason, got mine to run up to 2700 Mhz the other day, not prime stable but superpi stable anyways, close to 200 fsb all the time since fsb doesn\'t make a big difference anyway and I still don\'t get any better then 41 sec superpi whilest I got 40 sec before with merlin\'s and that was only at 2500 \'ish mhz... |
im gonna switch back to the other bios again and try getting above 100 with dual channel....i think that might be was was killing my BM\'s |
I use also the D25 bios of merlin, my board doesn\'t overclock beter, but it performs beter on the same fsb. EDIT: with my mobile 2600+ I can\'t get my pc stable above 200MHZ if I use high multipliers. 12.5 + |
try different biosses then because they often optimize for a specific fsb setting and/or a specific multiplier setting. For example that blackmantaray from tictac will give you procentually better performance when using 10.5 x multi... |
