yes very nice score from Geoffrey. My core wouldn't pass 805 so i a was stuck. the hints from cranox did help lower temps for about 10degr. and an increase to 815 but still load i was at 95degr i hade better hopes on the zalman 900cu but it idn't satisfy me. I'm going to look for another one for next benches. my scores: 3dmark01: gpu 815 mem 1056 nature score 215fps http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=9246908 3dmark03: gpu 790 mem 1050 nature score 81,5fps http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=5498239 this was all on basic hardware without oc. now i have a new oc rig. it was fun, now i'll try to make some time for hwbot.

* champagne pops open Thx guys, I appriciate the flowers My initial plans were to get into the extreme cooling category, though the lack of competition drove my back to the good old aircooling category, seems like it suits me just well In the end you do must get some luck with your card, if it doesn't scale well then you're just pretty much out of the game. On the other hand, I do think I've squeezed the maximum out of my card, it was artifacting like hell at the scores posted above, highering the voltage or using a better heatsink didn't help me at all. Even the 241FPS score in 3D Mark is unrepeatable, with a Thermalright SLK948 (picture) heatsink I was running around 10°C cooler then with the HR-03, and even with the GPU at +2V the card didn't scale anywhere further, not a single MHz! BIOS mods, anyone bothered....? I did The geometry clock could scale just a little bit further then the rest of the GPU, I flashed it 25MHz higher then the GPU vertex shaders, suprisingly it didn't really help getting a new top score, benching near the edge of stability is much like a lottery and it seems that with 241FPS in 3D Mark 2001 I got my lucky shot. Concerning my other hardware, it was a surprise to me that my Abit 650I SLI board could hit 140MHz PCI frequency without troubles. It is known that it has some flaws when it comes down to overclocking, for example I never tried to run 428*7 because I know the board won't do it most of the time, my front side bus was locked at 333MHz instead. Did the highered PCIe clock had an impact? I have no clue really, I got out of time to check out what happened at different PCIe clocks, maybe something for a next compo Quoted for thruth, you couldn't imagine the satisfaction I got once I got post Troman's highest score Hwbot is next, dunno when I'll ever have the change to get back to it though, I'm allready focused on different mathers as we speak. Anyway, I would like to thank Jason and Futuremark for their input in our little OC compo, and I hope anyone found this compo as fun as I did! Greetings

I still had some tweaks to attack Geoffrey, but in the end, he was the one who was the best in the given time. Edit: Doesn't he have to hand in a urine sample to see whether or not he has used EPO?
