Default 2600+ or barton 2500+

what cpu is the best one to buy @ this moment?

the xp 2600+ or the barton 2500+?

which one is the best to overclock, which one is the best to fold
etc...

pls help me soon, i'm leaving this afternoon to buy me one of these two, so hurry up

2600+ 266FSB : 2166MHz
2600+ 333FSB : 2083MHz
2500+ 333FSB : 1833MHz

The 2500+ is a pretty good overclocking, it's the slowest barton.
The 2600+ is overkill for OC, you got slower (cheaper) equally preforming CPU's. So there's no reason for getting those.

don't go for it.
You should reach those speeds with a 2500+, so it's just waste of money.

Barton has double the L2 cache, that helps with benching.

A 2500+ is a barton.
that's why I recommend it.

ik haal ook 2,2ghz met m'n Barton 2500+ alleen als ik hoger dan 175mhz fsb ga, begint hij onvermijdelijk te crashen, hoe zou dit komen? Ik draai nu op 170mhz fsb x 13mp => 2,21ghz, temps : 35-40 belast

specs :
Barton 2500+ stepping : AQZEA - Vcore : 1,7
Mobo : Abit nf-s rev 1.2 - Chipsetvoltage 1,6
mem : 2x256mb Twinmos PC3200 7-3-3-2,5cl - Voltage 2,6
Video : Hercules 9500 pro - niet overlockt
Cooler : SLK800 - delta fan
